The two PTOs – Parent Teacher Organization – of the French American Academy help the school raise funds and work toward specific goals and programs.
The PTOs help on many projects, including:
- Annual Gala
- Welcoming Picnic
- Fall Festival
- Book Fair
- International Potluck
- Thanksgiving Lunch
- End-of-the-Year Carnival
- Bake sale / Galette des rois / Crepes
- Box tops
The PTO of New Milford meets every first Tuesday of the month at 8:45am with parents, teachers, and the director.

The Parent Teacher Organization of the French American Academy’s (FAAJC PTO) mission is to enrich the learning experiences for our teachers and students by supporting creative thinking, diverse education, and cross-cultural exchange in an environment that is grounded in tradition while embracing innovation that fosters the love of learning, with the ultimate goal of developing collaborative, compassionate, contributing world citizens.
