Due to Covid 19 we will offer 2 options to our campers, presence camp or distance camp.
We have not received official guidelines about reopening schools in New Jersey yet. But the French American Academy is ready either way. Registrations will be open anytime soon.
Our Distance Summer Bilingual Camp offers your child a chance to be exposed to both French language and culture in a laid-back and engaging way online. In addition thanks to both a bilingual and small group settings, each activity will offer the possibility to beginners to learn words and new concepts in both French and English. Also it will allow French-speaking children to talk, sing, write, play and make scientific discoveries in both languages just like at school but with a lot more fun!
We often hear that Virtual camp is not the same than regular summer Camp filled with hands-on activities and time spent outdoor playing with their newly-made friends!
Yes, you are right, it will be not the same. But what if, it is actually better in certain ways? We may never live the same way or at least, not before quite a long time. The virtual camp does provide safety that you might want for your children at this time. So, why not embracing it and enjoy this as the opportunity to stay connected with old and new friends, learn new things and remain active! Yes, our French Camp will start everyday with gym or physical activities to allow children to stay connected with their own bodies! Next you will receive a kit for your children to use during camp. It is definitely better than hearing “I am bored” for the next two months…
Parents also say that they don’t want their kids to spend more time on screen, and that it is too much work on top of full-time jobs
Yes, it has its downsides but teachers are now experienced in distance learning and they able to offer children the best education and the most engaging activities with minimal involvement from parents. What about 3 full hours to do your work while your kids are learning and playing with friends in the safe environment of your own home?
Register safely now!
