Middle State Association Accreditation

Middle States Association – Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools

The Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools is one of the oldest and most respected accrediting bodies in the United States, responsible for evaluating and accrediting public and private schools nationwide. Its accreditation standards align with the Common Core State Standards to ensure schools provide rigorous academic programs. The accreditation ensures that we follow the US curriculum and standards. Our students can also easily transition to American public schools.

French National Ministry of Education

Accreditation by the French Ministry of Education certifies that our teaching complies with the French education system’s demands, curricula, teaching objectives, and organizational rules. Our students can pursue their education in another French school without having to take an entrance examination. We are also required to periodically prove that we meet accreditation criteria (curricula, acceptance of both French and foreign nationals, preparation for French examinations, employment of qualified French staff, etc). The French education network abroad comprises 566 schools in 138 countries, making it the world’s largest educational network.

The Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE)

The Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE) is a government institution supervised by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Founded in 1990, it is responsible for monitoring and managing the network of French schools abroad. The AEFE is the guarantor of the French education system abroad. It plays a key role in expanding France’s cultural and linguistic influence throughout the world and serves to boost the appeal of French higher education.

National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS)

NJAIS is a nonprofit association of independent (private) schools throughout New Jersey. Founded in 1958, the association serves its member schools by providing a rigorous, comprehensive, standards-based accreditation program, outstanding professional development, public advocacy, networking opportunities, and consultation with our professional staff.

Our Memberships:

French American School in North America (FISNA)

FISNA in North America is a network of 54 schools located in Canada and the United States, which implement the French curricula and employ teachers who are qualified in the French National Education system. FISNA membership means that our school is also truly international: in addition to enrolling French and Northern American students, we welcome students from a wide range of countries from around the world. Instruction is offered in two languages, French and English. The goal of FISNA membership is for schools to lead their students to become world citizens through the deep interactions between two cultures aiming for universality, the French and the North American cultures.

 Association of the French Schools in North America (AFSA)

AFSA is a membership organization of elementary and secondary schools in the United States and Canada, all of which are accredited by the French Ministry of National Education.

Our school meets the safety and quality standards set by the Department of Youth and Family Services (DYFS) of the State of New Jersey. This accreditation enables us to provide care and education for young children as young as 2.5 years old. By adhering to the stringent regulations and guidelines set forth by DYFS, we ensure that our school provides a secure and nurturing environment for all our students.
